The mini model station was created for a specific narrative. Everything is handmade with love, especially the little old lady and her pup.

Short B&W movie made for the chosen topic: "Against the Freedom of Information". In a world where we can have access to all sorts of information via multiple different platforms/tools, it can get difficult sometimes to get your focus on what really matters. Our group decided to compare the human's brain and the way it takes in information to a computer's system.

The idea behind "The tablet that does not work" was inspired by a short video of a young child, who was struggling flipping pages of a book since he was used to tapping and touching a tablet's screen instead. Will there be a day when the printed pages are no longer in demand? Does the tablet with its incredible abilities, a result of modern day technology; can really replace a simple bound book?
By reversing the tablet itself into its simpler form, with suggestions to "tap, drag, point..." on to sheets of paper, the aim of this "broken tablet" is to remind children, the definition and uses of a simpler reading tool: books.
From ink sketches to digitalized illustrations and paper collage, it's always good to test out different ways to create images.

The original opera "Nabucco" inspired our group (Jake Clarke, Jungwon Yang, Hingis Ng, Thomas Allen and Thu) to create a visual interpretation of the narrative using one main prop: a handmade wax figure.
